Group Rules

Welcome to OC Genres, this group is dedicated to showcasing your OC as well as helping you develop your creation to it's max potential.

Rules:

:star: All types of OCs are welcome, so long as they're a character created by you. To prevent your OC being rejected we also ask that you put some background info or story plans for the character. Otherwise we end up with a gallery full of random pictures and that's too hard to keep track of.

:star: Please submit your OCs to the correct folders, if not they'll have to be rejected. Also please make sure you make it clear that your OC has a direction or story. We are an OC focused group and will not accept random pictures.

:star: Artistic nudity is allowed but no pornographic nudity.

:star: The submission limit is once a day. Do not submit more than that or it will be rejected.

:star: All mediums and styles are accepted however we do ask that only finished artworks be submitted. Sketches and works in progress should be submitted to the development folder which will not be featured.

:star: Submissions to the featured folder are not allowed, submissions will be featured as and when chosen by the admins. Usually because the artist has earned the feature or won a contest/competition.

Isis: Probably the same who thought a crazy alien would make a good roommate as well.

This Can't Be Real-Chapter 1
I impatiently stood outside of the art room, waiting for my friend, Charis, to come out. The bell had rung over five minutes ago, but she was chatting up her sketching teacher, Mrs. Heisi. Why anyone would stay after school to talk to any teacher, I don't know. But me, being the good person I am, decided to be nice and actually wait for her.
Several minutes later, Charis came out with her home-made sketch book clutched to her chest. She was grinning like the Cheshire cat (I'd be lying if I said it wasn't a little creepy). Without being prompted, she recapped her little chat with the art teacher.

Hello there fellow ...humans.

I thought it was time to write a little something here because some people, mostly the new members, haven't been reading the rules on the front page here. Now I don't wanna sound like I'm here to make people miserable or anything but hey they're there for a reason.

No need to review them as they're all to the side of this blog post but I review the submissions and the folders that people request to have them dropped in. I've cleared out the folders in the past and plan to do so again, to recap what we do here were an OC group. Now this means were obviously here for your Original Characters but we like to think of ourselves as a development group. What that means is you post up an OC ref sheet and people review it for you, have a character you want people to look over and say what works and what doesn't? Submit the character and request feedback, I personally promise I'll review it myself so you know you at least get one view.

I've seen people posting up colour pics in the black and white folder and other people trying to post random pics in as Original Characters. We do say we don't accept random pics, give us a purpose behind it. I'm not a monster, if you feel like something was rejected when it should have been accepted click to send me a message and you'll find a person willing to hear your case and maybe even change the decision.

Let's have fun guys, but don't turn the group into a random gallery.
We have a purpose.

((On a side note, the original founder of this group has left and so I am now in sole control of the group. If anyone has ideas for the group and would be interested in an admin position then drop me a note for consideration.))

Hello, all! ^_^ Just joined, and I kinda wanna tell about my character, Jimmy. He's pretty punk, obviously, if you've seen him. His story is loosely based on my last year of high school, so it's gonna be pretty full of bad shit. I had a lot happen to me, and I've really changed because of it, and I just sorta wanted to start a comic about it. Right now I'm working on page 2, so look forward to that if you read my stuff. ^_^
